The more I listen to Spyra, the more I discover an interesting and artist who’s not afraid to melt contemporary EM to retro Berlin School, with a zest of jazz lounge. Inspired by his many travels during his concerts tour, Gasoline-91 Octane is a fine mixture of electronic music kinds. We have some charming ambient towards soft techno, while passing by the subtle modulations of a progressive electronic music which ravels with an absolute charm. Quite superb music we got here.

Windy pulsations introduce the limpid keys of Shirogane which pitch nervously under a delicate groovy bass line. With its soft fluid, sensual and minimalism tempo which dresses quietly of a floating mellotron and fine percussions, Shirogane hangs the ear with its synth which talks like a jazzman with soft celestial voice to ear-catching breaths. With a lighter intro Rantum Random marries a style closer to modern electronica. Crystalline, the keys are supported by more pronounced percussions on a heavier structure and a synth that still stays so jazzy. Spyra puts the ease of access besides with Operation PPG, a title which borrows all the paths of modern EM with its vaporous intro girdled of a serpentine necklace which scintillates of a prism to thousand reflections. The beat increases vaguely its intensity using cymbals which permute in slightly neurotics percussions. A loud mellotron joins this rhythm, fusing superb flutes passages on a dance music structure which is turning slowly in the progressive Berlin School hazards; galactic movement with stray percussions which try to restructure the rhythm, apocalyptic sirens which hem this frame without animate it that much and superb analog zests which decorates a soft movement which reborn of it’s rhythm with a final that nail the ears onear-phones.

Treskow Bridge is a superb melancholic ode which deploys his nostalgia on a beautiful piano and wandering percussions that knock together in an echotic harmony. Beautiful music which guides us until the delicious Below 20; a great Berlin School track flavour of contemporary oils with its soft sequenced pulsations in a metallic universe. Below 20 progresses like a dream with its dark choruses and its soft whipped hypnotic tempo, full of paradisiacal synth solos. Another great piece of music on progressive and creative structure, Spyra exploits its 19:09 with dexterity, plunging us in short ambient moments, before astonishing us with a rhythmic final shadowing the moments of Schulze-Namlook tandem. Quite simply exquisite, as the whole of Gasoline-91 Octane.
